| Aeschynanthus |

| All pictures above - Aeschynanthus radicans 'variegata' - a really nice hanging basket, long stems with medium green leaves, the bloom calyx is dark burgundy brown and the bloom is bright red. This plant succumb during the winter, I don't know if it was due to being too cold or the smoke from the woodstove. All of the Aeschynanthus I have dropped their leaves and started dying back to the bases, a few have resprouted on the remaining stems, but most are completely regrowing. I did take cuttings of this plant and will continue keep cutting rooted in case it happens again. I also have: Thai Red, Thai Pink, Mona Lisa and am growing a couple of seed sets of species. |
